C5 Wiring Diagram for Wiper Motors / Wiper stalk

I'm trying to remember which car I had in the past that had a reversed sweep, i.e. it cleared more of the passenger side than the driver's side... I think it was a Renault Espace maybe? RHD was obviously an afterthought

Both the AX (single wiper) and Saxo (two wipers) are similarly afflicted...

Espace : don't they have a slight pantograph action - like right hand drive 206 - to get around wiper mechanism being otherwise wrong?

Confused how a single wiper (on a simple arm, not pantograph like a C1 / 107 / Aygo) could favour one side over another! - then penny dropped, pivot not in the centre?


Mk1 Citroen C4 has a longer blade passenger side than driver side (in RHD) I fitted two of the shorter ones as it made my OCD tendencies flare up!

Hi Marc can you see where MC11 is located from the drawing this could be a poor earth and causing the ecu for the motors to blow. Schedule of earths(grounds) or something might show it. I had a look at the insides and there was no sign of any corrosion or ingress so think it could be a bad ground.

What vehicle are we talking about here? This thread was started for a C5 X7 (MK III) and that wiring diagram I posted was also for a MK III not any other earlier C5 which is an entirely different vehicle.

So I'm a little confused.... if you have a C5 MK III could you please update your profile on the left to show it as a current vehicle.

So Earth MC11 likely be relevant to a MK I or MK II C5. Please advise.... and if you are referring to a MK III X7, can you provide the VIN for me (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff) and then I can advise of location for you as wiring diagrams are vehicle and option specific.

Luckily the road was practically empty at the time....but yes I was going too way fast for the conditions. No harm done, although my wallet will be in a world of pain soon Fix it and get rid, I think.
