Hello, Unka Jim.

It is that. Still, new slide pins and brake pad wear sensors on order.

My right hand suspension is now reassembled. Papa had a struggle and threatened me with his BIG hammer but I relented. I,did not help matters by pointing out he reeks of Molybdenum Disulphide. Not a good idea. Not when Papa has his BIG hammer within easy reach......

I think I may have Mk2 driveshafts fitted. The Mk1 joint will not fit. Are they different? Or do the bigger engines get thicker shafts?

No point asking Papa. He doesn't know!!

Hello, Friends!

Papa has Finished!! I am off the ramps and back on my stylish alloy wheels again!

Papa has replaced the slider pins and found only one side needed doing. Thankfully he did, both! Even used the Special Brake Grease. He found some pad wear sensors in his toolbox so fitted them, even he has promised me new discs and pads for summer. And a right hand caliper? The old one is very rusty.....

He's going to give me a once over tomorrow just to make sure then I go,to,the MOT man again.

No I'm not finished.

Papa had discovered that my right front brake has a siezed piston.

Hello, Friends!

Papais :taz: furious.

I now have 4 BRAND NEW calipers fitted. No leaks but my brake pedal is still too, low. I,also have new slider pins.

Today's test drive was "interesting." No foot brake. At all! Luckily my powerful hand brake was working well! Papa examined my brakes and found ONE REAR PISTON working. His language probably set several people's hair on fire in China! Who assembles brakes without any lubricant?

Thankfully Papa used,to,rebuild brakes professionally so he knows just what to do. He sorted my rear ones out already using my old, worn pads to tempt the pistons out!

Rain has stopped play so he'll do my front ones tomorrow,

Not worth complaining. Who's betting the replacements will be as bad as these?

Love

Otterchops.

PS. At least he did not use his big hammer.....

Hello, Friends!

We think Papa has finished. Out of 6 brake pistons, only one was free to move. Papa gave Full Vent to his thoughts on Shoddy Workmanship. He bled all 4 brakes (again)'before taking me for a test drive. He Stamped on my middle pedal then got out to see what I'd hit! Yep, My brakes are Working!

Now, to,see,if my near side front seat belt is working properly and MOT beckons.

This does feel like me!!
