Please help RENAULT TRAFIC SL27 DCI 2015 ECU problem

Hi everyone my mecanic removed the Old engine then put back auther engine in the van wall connecting the ECU to the harness the middle plug has about 5-pin banded inside the ecu I believe this created the short burned some fuses in the circuit since then the starter not cranking you turn the keys the dashboard comes keys work for close open doors when we use SOLUS Legend to communicate with ecu it work but the starter is not turning they had two electrician look at it both of them are saying there's a problem with ECU. The only way now to know this van will be Back to Life is to try to get the same ecu from Renault Trafic 2015 change the eprom the we will find out if it will start. Sound easy but I am not to sure honestly i am not to sure what will be the best step to do and less cost .Thank you
