Wishbone 'P' Bush Alignment

Post by Pug_XUD_KeenAmateur »

Does anyone have any info re correct alignment of the rear 'P' Bush in the Wishbone

on my Pug 405?

The BoL offers me this rather laughably inadequate illustration, Chapter 10.6 of Haynes 3198, 405 Diesel

On our 306 we saw some alignment lines, where did you get the p bush from??

set the bush so it will align with the mounting frame when the wishbone is in the natural position, which may be more or less horizontal, when the car is on its wheels, if that hepls.

it should be pressed onto the wishbone stub and the centre steel tube should not rotate on the wishbone pin.

you will need a g clamp for aid when refitting the wishbone, but make sure the anti roll bar clamp is in place properly, on a 306 anyways.

Thanks Picasso, no alignment marks in this case (forget where it was bought from as from my spares) Anti-Roll Bar is different on the 405, but aware that on the 306 its bolted to the wishbone

Appreciate the trouble.
