307 1.4 Radiator removal

Post by Michel »

Hi all,

I need to fit a new rad to the 307. I'd imagine someone here has done one. I believe the front bumper has to come off... What's the easiest way to do this? Does the car need to be on ramps to get under it? Wheels on it off etc..

Any help much appreciated. I have the rad and coolant, but it's bloody cold outside and I want to be as ready and prepared as possible before I start!

Cheers
M

I do Marc, l shall post it shortly.

To answer my own question, it is not necessary to take the bumper off to swap the radiator. I went outside solely to see how I’d attack it and 15 mins later I had the new radiator in and secure, ready to refill...

I shall probably fix it, clean it up properly and use it as a trade in as I find myself needing an auto these days..

Mike Cooling Pipe.PNG
If it's the degassing pipe (2) it is 1323Z9 (£7.27 inc. VAT) from Peugeot
If the Expansion Chamber Water Hose (1), then 1323EX (£21.77 inc. VAT) from Peugeot
