The vehicle speed is determined by the ABS / ESP ECU, which gets its information from the wheel sensors. The info is passed to the engine ECU.Vlada33 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 13:03 I also need help with problem related to the ABS/ESP wiring.
In older Citroen Xsara Picasso a vehicle speed signal is taken from ABS, in newer C4 Picasso i need the same thing but I can't find it and don't want to test wire by wire because don't want to make a bigger problem.
Also, any location of wire that drives a vehicle speed signal is ok for me.

Re: Electrican help please? Citroen C4GP ABS wiring mare (fixed)
I suppose that is correct, but the wheel sensor don't give me a right signal (it's also pulse signal I believe but it's not recognized), it's possible that information from ABS/ESP to ECU is what I need?

Ok, I will try to explain.
I trying to put my dvd from ex car to Picasso, I was driving Laguna and a vehicle speed signal was on right back of radio on euro connector. I can put that wire from dvd to earth and dvd will work always, but it's dangerous because it can take attention and make a problem to driver.

Ok, so there should be a similar wire in the Picasso. Post up the VIN so I know exactly what you have and I’ll see what I have in the wiring diagrams.

The vin is already posted, here goes again
Vin number VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Also, I already say that old xsara picasso has that wire and its on ABS/ESP, color is rose (light pink) , there are 4 more rose wires but they are in combination with another wire (yellow and some others, I forgot it) and those wires are from wheel sensors.

Re: Electrican help please? Citroen C4GP ABS wiring mare (fixed)
I've had a look at the wiring diagrams and cannot see anything at all relating to the speed wire - this must all be handled via the CAN bus system now. My Navidrive NG4 has to have a special CAN harness interface to activate TV-Free, which is prohibited as it is a driver distraction - so my system shuts of DVDs after speed reached 6 mph. On my system, there is no speed wire either, so it's sent via the CAN bus most probably, which is another reason why deactivating it usually requires a special loom and some electronics and costs a few hundred £s!
Sorry I can't be of more help, but the NG4 Navidrive 3D was NOT an option on your vehicle at all - so would hot have DVD capability on any of the other Head Units, so no picture to block.

Thanks anyway for trying to help, if you have some wire diagram for xsara picasso ABS/ESP please send it to me to try to figure out any relation with C4 Picasso ABS/ESP wiring.
Also, C4 coupe has vehicle speed signal wire but in this moment I don't have information from where is connected

Re: Electrican help please? Citroen C4GP ABS wiring mare (fixed)
It’s a completely different vehicle of course,as the C4 Picasso is a full CAN vehicle and the Xsara Picasso could of been non a non multiplexed version, or CAN VAN or other combo. The electronic architecture will be completely different.
I will have a look at the ABS system, but unless you have the VIN from the Xsara Picasso in question, there are just too many variations to look through.

Xsara Picasso is sold also, maybe I still have some paper with vin on it, I will check out.
Maybe the easiest way will be to check on friends car, C4 Coupe, he has the same dvd and work like it should, he is also canbus for sure, and almost same age like mine Picasso, and same platform, I believe there is no big difference between them.
When I have some results I will post here, maybe will be good information for someone.
Again, thanks for your answers and help.

Like I said before, if anyone also need this wire with pulse signal I found it, number on wire is 3212 (one of number but I cannot see other number), can someone identify where this wire also can be find?

Re: Electrican help please? Citroen C4GP ABS wiring mare (fixed)
Resurrecting this thread as it seems similar.
I have acquired a C4GP with some faults showing: ABS ESR Handbrake, gearbox.
Lexia is telling me that the Front Left sensor is showing 255kph.
On further investigation I find that some kind soul has been around this before and cut the ABS lead! It looks as though there has also been some attempted investigation around the fusebox and I also see that it's had previous invoice for clearing out the scuttle drain.
All this is pointing me towards a fault in the loom at the back of the fusebox, but it seems like a good idea to first check by doing a similar thing to pauldoubleyou and running a lead from the ABS plug to the sensor to see if this clears the fault.
I would be grateful if someone could point me towards the correct wires to take off from.
Many thanks, Brian
The car's code is 11831FV if that's any help
