Clip on driveshaft required.

Post by uhn113x »

Sorry to be after more parts but I need a couple of the clips that locate the Rzeppa joint (on the front end of the drive shaft) against the splined end of the shaft to avoid it sliding in and out.
I got some from Simply Bearings who state 24 mm outside and 22 inside diameters but when they came they were 2mm thick so no good; does anyone know where I can get the proper ones - 1.5 mm thick - without a minimum order value or quantity?

TIA.

If you can't find any a toolmaker or engineer shop with a surface grinder should be able to adapt the ones you have for a few pounds.

I'll try that if all else fails, James, but I don't see how they'll do it as the clips are a round section, like wire.

Unfortunately they don't have them, but I've spoken to these:
https://www.rotorclip.com/base_part_search.php and hopefully some will be arriving soon.

Nope - they sent square section ones!
Surely someone else with a GSA will have the same problem?

Did he not suggest an alternative from another vehicle? (Possibly not)

Keith Would might have something from his aging stock, but he's not on the 'net. He lives near Kings Lynn. I'll PM his address and phone number in the event you don't have it.

There's a thought!

If all else fails it may be worth a dig around there if Chris is amenable to it.
