My Cars: Scenic XMOD

Hello from West Yorkshire

Post by roger_dodger »

Hi there, Hope you are all well. I am now the owner of my first French car, a '13 plate Renault Scenic XMOD
In the past I have owned Landrovers, Jaguars, Fords and other cars. I always join up to the relevant forum, as I find it hugely helpful, and like to tinker with the car myself, and fix most problems.

The Scenic has a bit of a story already. I bought it from a disposal company with a blown turbo for £2.5k less than market value. I work as a Marketing Manager for a large turbocharger company, so was able to get a replacement turbo for next to nothing. That was the easy part - replacing it.....Oh my word, what a job!! (I previously replaced a turbo on my Jag X-type - that took about 3 hours, less than half the time to do it on the Scenic!)

It's now running well, and is a great family car (why we bought it). It currently has a front drivers door lock playing up - I read that this is a relatively common issue. When I can stump up the £150 for a new one I will get around to replacing it!

Look forward to chatting to some of you soon
Phil (roger)

Welcome Phil

I'm not a denizen of the Renault forum normally but look forward to your posts. It's a self-help forum and we'll do our best if you have a problem.
