I should know Neil (blowed if I can remember) I owned and used one of those for a couple of years back in the late fifties, did a lot of work on it including fitting hydraulic brakes to replace the Bendix cables.

I'll try to find photos I have here somewhere.

There is occasionally an under £10K entry in the "Continental Auctions" like this one......

a very nice 1955 Peugeot 203c est 6,000 to 8,000 euros. Last one up at the sale and looking at the rest of the catalogue, that is going to look like very small change to the buyers they hope to attract for the other lots.

Nice thing about Maastricht is that, until the auction starts, Johannes Publik is allowed to wonder among the cars, as if they were just more exhibts in the show.

There's a rather charming Leyland 15 pick-up van for sale at the upcoming SWVA sale

Image

but it's listed as a 1964 van first registered in 1992. Apart from the obvious - it was laying undiscovered in perfect condition with delivery mileage only under a tarpaulin at the back of a barn for 28 years - what would lead to a vehicle being first registered nearly 30 years after it should have been ?

Theres another Jensen in the sales list which uses the quaint old term "Shooting Brake"...like that.

There's a couple of Jaguars which consistently seem to fall in the category for me of a surprising lot of car not fetching great prices. Big thirsty engines, high insurance tax et al, but maybe not loved enough to be in demand.

Theres the XJS 4.0 Auto, 1992 est £2500 to £3000
Image
and the XKR Auto 1998 est £8000 to £8995

Is that "charming" as in ugly? (perhaps the only thing - other than,4 wheels, engine, etc, etc - it has with the CV8) (sorry, Bobbins)

Now I do recall some Atlases being badged as Scammels (only the 5th wheel tractor units I'd imagine) but never as Leylands, I thought was only Austin/Morris light commercials.

Yellow I trust!

I do love that dash... Back in the days when cars had proper dashboards you enjoyed looking at rather than the horrible plastic things we get today...

Wood, preferably walnut, is definitely the material of choice and real, not plastic!

I hid it under the spoiler in my post JIm, but here it is in glorious Mimosa and Black

Personally I hope there is no interest whatsoever in the car, and that it can be bought at the estimate price range. That would give a chance for an amateur like myself to fettle and tinker and get it into a running condition to enjoy. Yes and its an iconic seventies vehicle which will always have a decent resale value in running order.
