Garage near Southampton

Post by Captain Slow »

Having rung Doreys in Sway about having the cambelt changed, and them not knowing what an activa was has made me a bit worried about taking it to them, so I'm looking for recommendations around Southampton please.

I wouldn't (yet) worry about that. As there were only 800 Activas imported, I would say that it was a Xantia 2.0 TCT (as that is what engine is fitted to the Activas). That should cover it. If you have good experience with Doreys then I would still go with them.

According to HowManyLeft, There were 798 Activas registered in 1999, and at the end of 2013 there were 34 on the road, and 46 on SORN.

A TCT cambelt is one of the easiest in the whole wide world to do...

I remember the Citroen garage is Sway... Not surprised they've never heard of an Activa though... to a Dealer they're old history now...

In the year 2000 there were 131,000 Xantias on the road. At then end of last year there were 7,100 on the road, and 2,400 on SORN.

The odd thing is, they looked after my old one years ago. It was run by 3 eccentric blokes. I can only assume they have now sold it?
