They do... Of course.

You can (sort of) get away with it if you make a disclaimer that the material is only for personal academic study.. A heck of a lot of guitar tab is (was) published to the 'net on that basis...

My Wiring Legend images are borrowed from my service manuals and is only a small extract.

Copyrighted strictly but from what is now very obsolete material... I such a case I see no problem in making it available and again, it is for personal academic study only...

Besides I have bought about three xantia manuals in the past so ive paid my right to have a digital copy and I was not going to drive an 80 mile round trip to get one...

The internet has developed this "research use" bollocks....sorry but what are my books if not "Research Material ? This is an exception made for accademit study and the use of quotes/paragraphs within a study, NOT for your use as a book in its intended role.
So why bother publishing anything if people steal copy ?
Why would the publisher print anything "low volume" ??...."Why don't Haynes make a book for the C5 Mk2 on ??.....maybe for this type of reason ?

Do not complain if what you make gets copied in China and puts your industry out of business.
Gents, do what is within your choice but understand it is what it is, what is the result and that you do effect people and their employment, grains of sand make a beach.

okk ur making a fuss now when i first found this link in 2009 so 6 years on and its all of a sudden a problem.... seriously its a haynes manual what is hard ish to get hold of now.... there are worse things going on in the world than a download for a haynes manual that if u want to u can find elsewhere if u dont like it dont download it simples..... seriously some people
