Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

I always thought when children were named after cars it was in recognition of where they were concieved! While I have come accross the odd Mercedes I've never come across a Rover. Did come across a Porscha (yes that's how it was spelt!)

That sounds a bit too expensive for a new instrument cluster, if it's needed, and setting the new cluster up on the vehicle, with a lap top to the correct mileage, which the vehicle has travelled, which could be proven with service records, and the previous M.O.T.

Bio-diesel costs more to make than mineral diesel its the tax that makes up the difference making mineral diesel more expensive to sell because bio-diesel gets a 20p/litre tax break.
Bio-diesel is cheaper after tax than mineral but because its a greener fuel the forecourts believe they can charge more for it, its a premium product that is cleaner...

Can't confirm Neil but it's got a line drawing showing the filter/oil pump ass. being removed with a single terminal sensor next to it.
I would say it was the oil pressure sensor as the water temp. sensor would be on the head.
One way to check, remove the wire and earth it on the block. If the lamp and wiring is ok then the oil light will come on...

Ok,sorry it`s not french.Has any body got a B.O.L`s for a Ford Fiesta?Or know of the OHV engine?
On the rear of the engine above the oil filter is what i presume is the oil pressure switch,single wire going to it.24mm spanner size.Can anyone confirm this,as my wifes car has a bad oil leak coming from it.Also the oil light does not work.

A good 1.9 takes some beating, sent me off thinking about my MK1 RD those seats were comfy too, AdamskiBX looks like the EBay GTI is going to go on quite a bit, a decent diesel is a very good intro to the BX.

Auto glym, I found are the best. They do all sorts of polish, waxes. Stay away from that wash 'n' wax as it leaves the windscreen all smery when you put the wiper on in the rain.

Doesn't seem worth it to me. Probably just someone making money out of selling water in a squeezy bottle!
Besides, it only works for cameras with flash - no good against those vans and some other cameras. Correct speed past cameras still has to be the best way.

I have a poorly scanned copy. It's actually got very decent detailed information in it. It's not really a sales pamphlet as it is way to detailed. It's a good description of how a turbocharger works.

Local shops still sell veg oil for 42p a Litre. .......... I'm totaly off topic of course, just thought it worth a mention..

As a number of people have recently mentioned in posts, fuel costs appear to be rising quite dramatically at the moment. A couple of garages near me have now broken the 90p/litre mark for Diesel fuel, with Unleaded hovering at 86-87p/litre. I know the UK is known for it's high fuel costs (second only to scandinavian countries?) but this is getting...

Further on from previous post,Just been on the news that Rover have called in the Recievers.D.T.I says yes,Rover says they haven`t.Either way,looks like the end has come.

My TZD has just passed its second MOT test with me, zero faults! I am a little worried about the beginnings of corrosion in the rear door shuts though, my last one was bad in this area and was basically made up of bits of welding , I intend to heavily coat this one with Zinc paint before it develops any further, next task is to replace the...

But you haven't got a Traction or a DS......their attitude sounds like the MG owners club when the MG Maestro and Metro appeared-they were every bit an MG in being a concoction of production parts, and probably closer to the original MG spirit than the MGA twin cam ever was, but they were'nt built at Abingdon and they didn't like them, and still...

I spotted another cinematic DS that I had never seen before the other night- theres a DS amongst the old yank iron that goes round and round in 'Dark city',an excellent scifi/horror crossover with Richard o'Brien and Kiefer Sutherland, which appears to have been looted of most its plot for 'The Matrix'.

The Pug ones will fit, as will the 15 ones from 406s etc,Volcanes etc 6 wide rims will go on, BX GTI steels were 5.5 inch wide and were fitted to some 405s might make tyres easier and cheaper too, I had problems finding 195,60,14s for the BX from my local part worn place, ended up buying new uniroyals, can drive aroundroundabouts without sliding...

That picture is showing off the few pits in the bonnet . Its fairly badly stone chipped.
I thought there was a big scrape in the picture of the left had side of the car. On closer inspection its the seller again...

She probably doesn't do many miles, why don't you leave your CX2500 GTi Turbo II in her shed. She'll probably only give it a run for you each Sunday (to get to bowls) .... ...

Those things are made out here and are a fairly common mower.
Do you have a particular problem or is it that you need it for some other reason?
I can have a look around although I can't say that I've ever seen a Gregory's service manual for one of those but there could be some actual Victa info available.
Do you have an actual model number...

Considering the 308 began life in the early 70's as the 308 dino, and was then rebodied in the 'Magnum' style body it's not done too bad over time. I've driven a 328 GTBi and whilst it was nice, some fairly ordinary scoobies would blow it away these days, but a 360 Stradale on the other hand...
